Thanks for your concerns and cringes.
I'm doing well. Not too much pain. Lot of Ibuprofen.
Much thanks to Ben who was sweeping on the ride and checked me and stayed calm, talked to me and helped me get to the parking lot. And to Jen for letting me dirty up her car and for keeping an eye on me during the ride.
My brother, Aldrin, works ER at St. Bernadine's in, and he helped me out a lot when I got to the ER. He was also the one who inflicted the most pain on me. Betadine scrub, man! Yow!
He came over yesterday too and brought me the Band of Brothers series which has kept me pleasantly occupied. All the blown off limbs and neck shots put my wounds in perspective.
And Kelly and Zoë stuck with me the whole trip through the ER. I think we were there like 5 hours, and they were really cool the whole time...needles, scrubbings, long waits, and all.
Sorry I won't be there but have fun on the RAR!
