Jonathan started it:
In Santa Suits for the toy ride. 4 riders per team Rider 1 in front, lays the bike down in front of following riders, the others 3 have to dismount and hurdle the bike that is down then the next rider throws down a bike etc. Teams of 4 - fastest team to clean a block with everyone laying down a bike and hurdling the others wins. It would be like hurdle the turtle only hurtling over bikes thrown down in your path. The first one to throw down has to get back on the bike after everyone else hurdles it and hurdle the next bike laid down by rider2 etc. - a thought to throw in the mix. Short game, gone as soon as it ends.

RAR to Hulda Crooks/Scott Canyon in Loma Linda!!!

Same as all RAR's, nobody gets dropped. Plan on having fun. Possibly getting lost. Food & festivities when we get back to Redlands (not that "Mr. go home early" would know, right...).

Red Asphalt Ride Around Redlands Oct. 3rd
So we gonna' do the First Friday ride thingie? Last month's was a great showing w/out an offical posting, so let's make it official!
Meet @ Augie's Coffee on 5th St. @ 8:30, socialize, drink espressos, oogle bikes, wonder what we're doing that keeps female riders from showing up, then take off. Suggestions for themes/destinations welcomed.
Here are some pics of the good times from last month in case you're sitting on the fence: http://www.flickr.com/photos/daddioparks/sets/72157607136414930/

SAVE TRESTLES FOREVER!!!
Surfrider and everyone who loves Trestles will be at Del Mar Fairgrounds for a huge public input session this Monday Sept. 22. Let the Department of Commerce know they need to uphold the California Coastal Commissions decision to deny this monster. The IE wants to SAVE TRESTLES! The last thing we need is another stinkin' private toll road paving our State Parks (created by Ronald Reagan) and ruining SoCals best wilderness surf beach. Click the Pic for more info. For those that cannot make it be sure to sign the SAVE TRESTLES letter to the folks at NOAA and the DOC. You can find that online letter here.

Fresh Pro at the FARM Artisan Foods from IEOPBC!
Well folks, this was worth bringing the BOB trailer down to the FARM Artisan Foods this morning! Everyone should consider joining this buying club, the produce is awesome and the price is right. Just around the corner from Augie's so you can't get lost. Bring about 3 medium size cloth bags for the haul, or a LARGE messenger bag, you get a bunch of produce. Ride on!

Bike Accident Reporting Tool
Hopefully none of us will ever be involved in an accident, but at some point we may come close to getting hit. There will soon be an online database where accidents, near-accidents and problem areas can be logged. The data will be viewable and searchable.
Bike Portland has more information here.
Keep an eye on their site for more information.
Be safe.
